Position Description

The Busser/Runner plays a crucial role in providing an exceptional dining experience for guests. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining area, supporting the service staff, and ensuring that food and beverages are delivered promptly and accurately

Responsibilities

  • Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently
  • Ensure tables, chairs, and floor areas are clean and tidy
  • Maintaining cleanliness of tables and floor during service
  • Assist servers with delivering food to tables
  • Provide extra napkins, utensils, and other items as requested by guests or servers
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure prompt service
  • Welcome and seat guests as they arrive
  • Provide attentive and friendly service to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Address or communicate guest needs and concerns promptly and courteously
  • Set up dining areas for service, including placing table settings, arranging centerpieces, and stocking supplies
  • Assist with restaurant opening and closing duties
  • Maintain cleanliness in service stations, restrooms, and other areas as needed.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations
  • Assist with special events and functions as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift

Work Environment

  • The position requires standing and walking for long periods
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of items up to 25 pounds
  • Exposure to varying temperatures, including working in a kitchen and dining area

Base salary: $12.75/hour + substantial tips

Schedule: Part-time, must be able to work evenings and nights.

Benefits: Sick Time
