Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Programmer with a strong background in Power BI, Python, SAS, and other data visualization tools. This position is contingent upon our firm being awarded the contract. The ideal candidate will have over a decade of experience in software development and data visualization, capable of transforming complex data into actionable insights through advanced visualization techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Visualization Development: Design, develop, and maintain sophisticated data visualization solutions using Power BI, Python, SAS, and other tools to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Software Programming: Write, test, and maintain high-quality code in Python and other relevant programming languages to support data analysis and visualization projects.
• Data Integration: Integrate various data sources, ensuring data consistency and accuracy across different visualization tools.
• Analysis and Reporting: Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights, and create reports and dashboards that support business decision-making.
• Optimization: Optimize existing visualizations and code for performance, scalability, and usability.
• Collaboration: Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective data visualization solutions.
• Documentation: Document code, processes, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in software programming and data visualization.
• Technical Skills:
  • Power BI: Extensive experience in developing interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
  • Python: Proficiency in Python for data analysis, visualization, and automation tasks.
  • SAS: Strong experience with SAS for statistical analysis and data visualization.
  • Other Tools: Familiarity with other data visualization tools such as Tableau, D3.js, or similar.
• Data Skills: Strong understanding of data manipulation, transformation, and cleaning techniques.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all deliverables.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies.
• Knowledge of database management systems and SQL.
• Certification in data visualization, data science, or related fields is a plus.
