About Jacobsen|Daniels:
Jacobsen|Daniels (JD) is a professional consulting firm specializing in services for the aviation industry. Our clients are primarily airports and airlines or organizations that do business with those entities. Formed in 2001, we pursue ideas, concepts, and solutions to improve the journey for the traveling public. Since its founding, JD has been dedicated to reliable, convenient, and safe transit options that meet the rapidly changing safety and security needs of the transportation industry. You will spend the first three weeks in a classroom setting learning about the aviation industry. During the remainder of the internship, you will work on project assignments with JD’s five major Practice Areas.
Position Description Summary:
Our 12-week paid Summer Internship Program offers students the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the day-to-day operations of a leading national aviation consulting firm. Students participating in the program will build upon their current skillset and work in a collaborative environment. You will join teams from JD’s practice areas intent on delivering excellence to existing and potential clients. This is a part-time role at our headquarters in Ypsilanti, MI.
Position Responsibilities:
- You will primarily work with members of JD's Finance & Accounting team
- You will be assigned certain administrative responsibilities including financial record retention activities
- You may also work with other parts of areas of JD's Shared Services team including Marketing, Administration, Human Resources, or Facilities Management
- Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor's degree from an accredited college program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Solid time management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
- Desire and ability to work as part of a team.
- Be able to work at least 15 hours per week throughout the summer internship.
- Ability to represent JD professionally in all work situations.
- Relevant work experience, including other internships, is not required but is a plus.
