At RESPEC, we’re seeking a talented Mechanical BIM Technician to join our dynamic full-service engineering team. Here’s why you’ll love working with us:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborative Environment: As a BIM Technician, you’ll be an integral part of our multidisciplinary engineering design team. We foster a collaborative atmosphere where creativity thrives, and ideas are valued.
  • Cutting-Edge Technology: Get ready to dive into the world of BIM software You’ll work with industry-leading tools like Autodesk Revit, Plant 3D, AutoCAD, Recap, and Navisworks. These powerful platforms empower you to digitally prototype and document precise, clash-free designs that bring facility projects to life.
  • Impactful work: Your role will directly contribute to the success of construction projects. From modeling HVAC and plumbing system layouts to producing plan sheets, elevations, and sections, your work will shape the future of our built environment.
  • Visualize and Coordinate: We believe in thinking beyond 2D blueprints. As a BIM Technician, you’ll visualize complex systems, ensuring seamless coordination across disciplines. Your ability to recognize spatial conflicts and help optimize designs will be invaluable.
  • System Build Ability: Showcase your expertise Demonstrate how mechanical systems come together in a tangible way. Your contributions will directly impact the functionality and efficiency of our projects.
  • Library Management: Curate and maintain our BIM and CADD library files, ensuring seamless access to essential resources and support files.

Qualifications

  • Experience in mechanical drafting and modeling
  • Proficiency in BIM software (Autodesk Revit, Plant 3D, AutoCAD, Recap, and Navisworks)
  • Strong visualization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in collaborative team settings and communicate seamlessly
  • Adaptability and  to interpret written, verbal, and visual direction
  • Related certifications, degrees, or trades experience a plus


Additional Information

Work Schedule:  Full-time position involving 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday during normal 8:00am to 5:00pm business hours. Overtime can be expected when project workload demands it.

Compensation and Benefits: Salary depends on experience and expertise. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package that consists of medical, vision, and dental insurance; holidays; paid leave; 401(k) Plan and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP); continuing education; and professional societies. RESPEC is a 100% employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the ESOP after a qualifying period.
