About The Job:

Social Firm is seeking an experienced WordPress Developer with a strong emphasis on technical proficiency. The ideal candidate should be proactive, creative, organized, and a team player. They should possess a deep understanding of WordPress development, including themes, plugins, and optimization for performance and security. The responsibilities include website design and development and maintenance, collaboration with design and marketing teams, technical documentation, and ensuring quality control processes. We highly prefer this position to be onsite with some flexibility.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop and maintain WordPress-based websites, themes, plugins and components for Social Firm and its clients
  • Maintain servers and fulfilling web-hosting related requests for our clients
  • Optimize website performance and maintain proper security
  • Manage hosting platform and launch sequence of new website projects
  • Collaborate with design team to create pixel-perfect, responsive websites from Photoshop files and/or Figma/xD prototypes
  • Create and maintain documentation for project management and SOP creation
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 year degree in website development or related degree, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • 4+ years experience with WordPress
  • Proficiency in HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, PHP, MySQL / MariaSQL, jQuery
  • Experience with e-commerce (i.e., WooCommerce)
  • Experience with Advanced Custom Fields implementation
  • Fluency with core site aesthetics and element arrangement on screen
  • Strong creative and visual problem solving skills, attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with debugging tools
  • Strong desire to learn new technologies and keep up with industry trends

  • SEO experience, proficiency & understanding of signals and their influence
  • Experience with wireframe design
  • Gutenberg, native wordpress block theme experience and block creation interest
  • Experience with building or extending a wordpress plugin
  • DIVI Builder Experience
