As an Associate Project Budget Analyst, you'll play a vital role in shaping our financial success by delivering accurate reporting, tracking project budgets, and ensuring our time and expense management processes run smoothly. You’ll collaborate and engage with cross functional teams to provide timely information to support key processes and decisions. This is a hybrid position located in Virginia Beach, VA.

Responsibilities:

  • Client Billing & Project Management: Perform internal and external project reporting, expense reconciliations, and ensure accurate budget tracking.
  • Receivables Management: Monitor and manage outstanding receivables, maintaining proactive communication with clients to keep our cash flow on track.
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting: Support the preparation of financial reports and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside talented colleagues in Finance and beyond, providing critical support and driving process improvements.

Successful candidates will have the following attributes:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-3 years in financial analysis or budgeting. Experience in a CRO or project billing is a plus.
  • Skills:
    1. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas).
    2. Familiarity with NetSuite’s OpenAir and BI tools is a bonus.
    3. Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professionalism:
    1. Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
    2. A proactive, self-motivated attitude with the ability to work independently.
    3. A commitment to integrity and professional conduct.
