Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess the extent of damage and identify components for repair or replacement.
  2. Systematically disassemble vehicles, removing damaged parts while preserving reusable components.
  3. Label and catalog removed parts for easy identification and organization.
  4. Create detailed documentation and reports outlining the condition of vehicles and noting specific challenges for the repair process.
  5. Collaborate with other auto body professionals to coordinate the repair process and provide necessary information.
  6. Perform quality checks on removed components to determine repair feasibility and ensure adherence to industry standards.
  7. Adhere to safety protocols when handling tools, equipment, and hazardous materials.
  8. Strive for efficiency and accuracy in the disassembly process to contribute to the overall workflow of the auto body repair shop.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as an Auto Body Disassembly Technician or similar role.
  2. Strong knowledge of automotive components and systems.
  3. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment for disassembly.
  4. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  6. Basic computer skills for documentation and communication purposes.
  7. Commitment to safety and adherence to established protocols.
  8. I-car training is a plus.
