We are seeking a Maintenance / Handy Person to join our team You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
Responsibilities:
- Keep building in clean and orderly condition
- Perform heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors and shampooing rugs
- Perform routine maintenance tasks
- Organize custodial closets and spaces
- Maintain working condition of cleaning equipment
- Regular, punctual attendance.
- Empty all garbage cans every morning.
- “Deep” clean assigned rooms on daily basis. (See room cleaning form)
- Maintain a sanitary work area.
- Practice good infection control such as proper hand washing to avoid cross contamination from soiled to clean linens.
- Sweep, mop, dust, and sanitize assigned rooms.
- Keep chemicals and solutions secured and out of residents’ reach.
- Vacuum carpets and clean floors as needed.
- Pick up litter on facility property.
- Check and clean equipment as directed.
- Monitor supplies and report as needed.
- Report equipment problems as needed.
- Any other tasks as directed by the maintenance supervisor.
Qualifications
- Valid Drivers License
- Previous experience in cleaning, maintenance, or other related fields
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Previous experience with dry-wall and high quality painting
