Ophthalmologist – Oculoplastics


Eye Specialty Group (ESG) is seeking full-time Board Certified, or Board Eligible, Ophthalmologist specializing in Oculoplastics who is interested in making a difference. This is a high volume, fast paced multi-location Practice with three surgery centers that span throughout TN, MS, and AR. Our multi-sub-specialty practice currently has 7 Ophthalmologists and 8 Optometrists. For over 50 years ESG has been, and continues, to be, committed to ethical and excellent care for our patients. Our practice is Physician-Owned, NO PRIVATE EQUITY.


ESG is based in Memphis, TN which is a vibrant and exciting city with a population base of over 1.5 million. This is a diverse and exciting community that offers its residents great food, great entertainment, and a host of family friendly neighborhoods in either traditional Memphis settings along the mighty Mississippi River or spacious golf communities in the suburbs.

Requirements:

Ophthalmologist Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Diagnoses, assesses, and treats Oculoplastics conditions, diseases, and disorders
  • Performs comprehensive eye exams
  • Surgery and medications as needed – No primary eye care
  • High surgical volume
  • Advises patients on eye health, vision correction options, and lifestyle changes
  • Monitors patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
  • Keeps patient records up-to-date and review medical histories
  • Works collaboratively with other medical professionals to ensure the best possible care for patients

Ophthalmologist Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree
  • Board certification in Ophthalmology
  • Fellowship in Oculoplastics (Preferred)
  • Valid state medical license
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of the latest ophthalmology treatments and technologies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-centric environment
  • Commitment to high quality patient care and service
