We are currently seeking an Entry Level Highway Engineer in our Jacksonville, FL office. The Entry Level Highway Engineer will collaborate with a team of engineers and will be responsible for the planning and design on transportation related projects. The primary duties will be to support Senior Project Engineers in a variety of tasks in the field of highway design. Responsibilities will include development of roadway horizontal and vertical alignments, roadside evaluation and design, maintenance of traffic design, preparation of construction plans, specifications, cost estimates and the development of technical reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Relevant internship/job experience related to transportation engineering preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally/written at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • Experience with design software tools such as MicroStation, Geopak, OpenRoads, InRoads and AutoCAD preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
