Basic FunctionPerform all CNC operations in order to produce high volume parts in a cost-effective manner. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Program and operate OmniTurn CNC controller and lathe equipment.
  • Create programs for OmniTurn machines based off blueprints and gauging equipment.
  • Work with a variety of PVC pipe and related materials.
  • Perform proper maintenance on equipment.
  • Maintain proper paperwork and documentation.
  • Maintain acceptable reject, scrap and production rates.
  • Inspect completed parts.
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks on all scheduled tools and equipment on-time.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to make efficiencies in the work area.
  • Understand and comply with all HSE, Compliance and other Company Policies.
  • Must know Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality System Manual, Operating and technical procedures and work instructions as it applies to the position.
  • Perform various other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager within the physical constraints of the position.
Required Skills
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience working with production equipment
  • At least 5 years’ experience CNC Machining, OmniTurn experience preferred.
  • Two year technical degree in CNC Machinist or equivalent or completed apprenticeship program.
  • Have good communication skills.
  • Ability to train other team members.
  • Ability to work as a team or independently.
  • Possess a positive attitude
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and prints.
  • Ability to do basic math i.e. add/subtract whole numbers, decimals & fractions.
  • Ability to use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, etc. with accuracy.
  • Ability to make decisions independently with limited supervision.
