CNC Machinist


Pay: $25/hr - $30/hr

Shift: 2nd Shift (trains on 1st)

Location: Redford, MI


Job Description-

•Responsible for machine operation, quality control, machining, milling, and operating machinery.

•Monitors and changes cutting tools (inserts) as needed

•Performs dimensional inspection of product as required.

•Reviews shop orders and drawings to determine machining specifications and requirements.

•Enters computer commands to retrieve stored parts data and programs.

•Accountable for efficient and timely production of a quality finished product.

•Aware at all times of correct orientation of product being placed in machine.

•Loads and unloads product.

•Rough machine forgings to drawings.

•Performs basic dimensional inspection of product when required.

•Operates equipment in constant high production environment.

•Starts and stops cycle of equipment as needed, through use of push buttons and levers.

•Removes metal shavings/chips from equipment in a safe manner.

•Notify supervision of any adverse conditions that may affect quality of the finished product.


Qualifications-

•Machine Operation and Machinery skills

•Knowledge of multiple types of Computer Numerical Control processes (machining, programming set up and operation)

•Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

•Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus

•High school diploma or GED equivalent
