I am working with a hospital in Houston, Texas, that seeks an experienced Registered Radiology Technologists to perform diagnostic imaging examinations and procedures.

This is a great opportunity to advance your skills, expertise and credibility in Radiology and also have a unique opportunity to utilize the latest technical advances in medicine and develop personalized care plans.

The goal of this position – your core purpose and duty - is to perform special/invasive radiology procedures and produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Your role daily will look a little like this…

  • You will perform special/invasive radiology procedures on patients ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures.

  • You will prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, administer contrast when necessary, position patient for exam, select appropriate imaging techniques, and ensure the technical quality of the images.

  • You will perform quality assurance on radiology equipment.

  • You will identify and report any accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunction to department management.

  • You will take emergency calls within the department.

  • You will adhere to all policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.

  • You will supports department-based goals and serve as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

  • Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required

  • Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R)

  • Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support

  • At least 1 year experience in Cath Lab setting

  • Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients
