1. Education: The Medical Records/Medical Staff Services Credentialing Coordinator must be a high school graduate, with an associate degree or higher. Must have organizational secretarial skills with at least two years experience, knowledgeable of the medical field with special reference to medical staff credentialing process, and knowledge of regulatory standards, excellent computer skills.

2. Training and Experience: Two years experience in the secretarial / medical field with excellent organizational and computer skills.

3. Job Knowledge: Must be knowledgeable of the medical field with special reference to medical staff credentialing process and knowledge of regulatory standards.

4. Safety Sensitive: NO
In the interest of protecting the health and safety of all patients, associates, and guests, Unity Health has classified some positions as “safety sensitive.” A “safety sensitive” position is any job position in which impaired performance could result in harm to the health and/or safety of self or others. DESCRIPTION:

The Medical Records/Medical Staff Services Credentialing Coordinator must be a person of highest integrity, highly motivated, be able to work independently. He/she must be prepared to advance with changing trends, rules and regulations, and must continually strive for improvement.

Physical Effort: Works in a well-lighted, air conditioned office. Sits and types on computer. Bending involved when filing.
