Position Title: Intake Associate (Bilingual)
Assignment: 25%Administration and 75%FVIP
Reports to: Operations Manager/FVIP Manager

Summary:
This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) This position processes client inquiries and is the gateway for client services and works directly with clients impacted by domestic violence or other mental health challenges to ensure the initial referral to Compass of Carolina is processed within 24 hours. This individual staffs the front office and performs general front office duties: greeting clients and visitors; processes phone calls; take client payments. This person will provide administrative support, as needed. This individual should possess knowledge of domestic violence, has strong verbal, and written skills, be familiar with Microsoft Office products, QuickBooks and other software utilized by Compass. Confidentiality and strong people skills are a must.

Examples of Tasks Performed or Assigned:

  1. Conducts preliminary intake inquiries and coordinates Family Violence Intervention Program/Counseling appointments.
  2. Provides back up data tracking for all Clinical Department & FVIP programs.
  3. Inputs monthly activity reports for data collection.
  4. Answers phones and taking messages, greeting clients and visitors, taking client payment, bookkeeping functions including preparing & processing invoices and filing invoices, ordering supplies and implementing cleaning/disinfecting protocols.
  5. Performs other tasks as assigned.

Method and Type of Supervision Required:
Able to work independently and responsibly with other staff.

Desired Education and Experience:

  1. Bilingual, Spanish speaking
  2. Associates degree and/or equivalent experience in similar position.
  3. Must possess excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  4. Responsiveness to supervision, and adherence to professional ethics.
  5. Excellent verbal and written skills.
  6. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, and email usage.
  7. Demonstrates maturity, reliability, flexibility, and interpersonal skills.
  8. Understands the importance of having a positive attitude and being a team player.
  9. Possess Bookkeeping skills, preferred experience with QuickBooks software.
