Position Overview: As an Accounts Receivable Specialist within our Ticket to Work Employment Network, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining financial transactions related to accounts receivable. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payments and reconciliation of accounts. Your attention to detail, financial acumen, and excellent communication skills will contribute to the overall success of our organization's mission to assist individuals with disabilities in achieving sustainable employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accounts Receivable Management:
  • Request and process incoming payments and electronic funds transfers.
  • Post and allocate payments to appropriate customer accounts accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Review and verify discrepancies in payment documentation and resolve issues as needed.

Invoice Processing and Generation:

  • Generate and request accurate billing to Social Security based on contractual terms and agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure billing accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain a well-organized record of all related documentation.

Reconciliation and Reporting:

  • Reconcile customer accounts to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Prepare regular reports summarizing accounts receivable status, outstanding payments, and collection efforts.
  • Identify trends or issues in accounts receivable and propose solutions to improve financial processes.

Communication:

  • Communicate with Social Security regarding billing and payments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payment discrepancies and disputes.

Compliance and Record Keeping:

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and industry best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and well-organized records of financial transactions, correspondence, and agreements.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or similar role.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Familiarity with disability-related programs, such as the Social Security Ticket to Work program, is a plus.
  • Must be able to pass a full Federal and State of Oklahoma background investigation to qualify as a Federal Contractor.
  • Must maintain highest level of best practices and confidentiality.
