What you will do:

  • Manage the overall performance of all commercial products, overseeing new and existing products through the ongoing product management lifecycles.
  • Support the product lifecycle management across the product portfolio of internet, voice, and video products, including launching new products and capabilities, while driving internal and external awareness and adoption.
  • Ensure market competitiveness for the portfolio strategy by assisting in the development of requirements, applying in-depth competitive assessments, and developing pricing tactics.
  • Enhance sales teams by developing and delivering sales training and engaging with large, complex sales opportunities.
  • Drive product lifecycles by providing performance analytics, product status, business cases, and process improvements.
  • Partner with the Marketing team to create concise and compelling communication of product value propositions, competitive positioning, and differentiators across various mediums, including product collateral, sales briefs, white papers, and digital media.
  • Ensure product quality through a continual, proactive focus on driving sales and operational process improvement.
  • Capture key market dynamics, drivers, and trends by performing comprehensive market analyses to establish competitive benchmarking and forward-looking response recommendations.
  • Foster and maintain strong working relationships across the organization and with our external vendors.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and support projects across the organization.
  • Appraise new product ideas and marketing programs to ensure successful product launches.
  • Improve brand and product awareness through market evaluation, creating targeted marketing programs, developing promotions, and recommending pricing.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop unique strategies for product lines and enhance marketing efforts.
  • Present short- and long-term product sales forecasts and analyses for senior leadership to leverage.
  • Satisfy future client needs by partnering with product teams to provide guidance on future product enhancements.
  • Monitor competitive analysis on related products and services, driving innovation of new features and revenue.
  • Manage product marketing, budgeting, analysis, project management, product documentation, and reporting responsibilities.
  • Plan and coordinate strategy, roadmap, and measurement of success of assigned product(s) to meet strategic initiatives while providing revenue and margin growth.
  • Conduct product research and monitor the competitive landscape, reporting on services offered, pricing/promotions, and technology use trends.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs and/or increase revenue/gross margin.
  • Build strong partnerships through cross-functional collaboration and leadership to ensure quality and timely implementation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Recent experience in telecommunications.
  • Minimum of six years of experience in product development or management, with a proven track record in a specific supported product line.
  • Able to travel quarterly to our Texas or Ohio office.
  • Demonstrated history of working with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals while managing and fostering change.
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills can synthesize multiple viewpoints against established goals.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, make decisions, and resolve issues under pressure.
  • Expertise in analyzing and interpreting data to synthesize recommendations.
  • Strong business acumen and a sense of urgency to achieve business results.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Effective written and spoken English communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Ability to understand complex and technical concepts, translating them into simplified product attributes.
  • Experience in conceptualizing new, innovative products/applications/services and justifying design, build, and/or buy decisions using solid ROI analysis.
  • Capability to create pricing and business models.
