Amida is looking for a Solutions Architect to join our team in Washington DC or a remote location. As a Solutions Architect you will work with a dedicated team to help modernize the data architecture for a Federal agency. You will work closely with the stakeholders as well as other contractors to help modernize the agency's data infrastructure and governance process. This role will produce user-driven application interfaces and work to provide meaningful enhancements to complex processes through automation, the incorporation of best practices for data management, and development of modern, accessible system design.

What You Will Do:

  • Embed with and eventually lead a team of UI/UX designers to implement intuitive and feature-rich application interfaces
  • Apply the latest techniques and trends in UI/UX design to build bespoke user interfaces for Amida's customers
  • Work with Amida's clients to gather user input, test prototype designs, elucidate requirements, and iterate on implementation patterns and user experience flows
  • Translate design specifications to requirements and aide Amida's development teams in the implementation of user interface designs

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree, certification or equivalent work experience in Software Development
  • 10+ years of experience working on Software solutions
  • 5+ years of experience working on enterprise applications
  • 5+ years of experience producing HTML, CSS and JavaScript web application interfaces
  • 5+ years experience in .Net and PowerBI development
  • 5+ years of business, functional, and technical analysis to generate requirements.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and drive to deliver best-in-class software products
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with VA infrastructure and data sources
  • Understanding of the unique design constraints of the United States Government (such as Section 508 Compliance)
