Are you a BI Developer in search of your next opportunity? Our Plano-based client is in search of a contract-to-hire BI Developer responsible for collecting business requirements, evaluating, recommending, implementing, maintaining, supporting, and improving business intelligence solutions, including designing, coding, testing, and deploying datasets, dashboards, and reports in Power BI or similar tools.

SALARY OFFERED: Up to $120K depending on candidates experience, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee product issues such as defects, patches & upgrades, including deployment, testing & post-production validation. May also implement patches & upgrades directly
  • Define, guide, and deliver medium-to-large business intelligence projects from beginning to end, including directing work for BI Specialists and BI Analysts
  • Contribute to building the development standards and guide the junior resources to follow the standards in implementing the solutions
  • Test business intelligence solutions, including creating test plans/cases/scripts and implementing test plans
  • Author and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for processes, procedures, and dashboard/report designs
  • Provide operational support & incident management for systems, including proactively update internal clients & relevant parties on status changes & issues encountered
  • Develop and deliver training about data marts and business intelligence including continuing education and initial training for new users across the company
  • Assist the BI Leader in developing BI strategic roadmap and data governance framework

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of Power BI experience
  • Strong understanding of data & analytics fundamentals including the various data modeling approaches
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming and finite state systems
  • Well-versed with database technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or No SQL databases
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, R, DAX/MDX, or Python
  • Experience with BI tools, including Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent
  • Cloud platform experience is a plus
  • Experience with other Power Platform technologies is a plus
  • Experience with delivering data analysis solutions to business needs
