Remedy is excited to partner with a very well-established global manufacturer in the greater Fulton/Oswego, NY area as they look to fill a critical Senior Controls Project Engineer role. This Senior Controls Project Engineer will play an integral role in leading the design of controls systems and components for custom manufacturing machinery. Here are some important details:

Shift: Days

Pay: Will depend upon skillset/experience but client is open to discussion based on your salary needs

Here is what you will be responsible for as their Senior Controls Engineer:

  • Leads project teams in the design and development of all aspects of controls, equipment, and machine automation.
  • Drives the technical strategy and controls architecture for the engineering department with the goal of providing cost effective and efficient control systems solutions.
  • Sets overall project approach/guidance and designs control systems machinery to spec, with focus on the most complex projects.
  • Provide direction for project team members in the design of hardware/software related tasks.
  • Schedule and lead the review of the mechanical, electrical and process design to ensure it meets technical, commercial and customer requirements.
  • Lead engineering standardization initiatives, design for manufacturing, and best practice efforts on all projects assigned.
  • Provide support for assembly, purchasing, field service and guidance to proposal and product management.
  • Lead and actively participate in project design reviews, production and project planning meetings and act as a subject matter expert in customer interface meetings.
  • Travel for customer visits, vendor meetings, and start-up's as required.


We're looking for Senior Controls Engineers with the following background profile:

  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering
  • A minimum of 8+ years of controls and electrical systems design experience with industrial automation.
  • Extensive experience with Rockwell and Siemens controls and drive systems.
  • HMI programming experience using SCADA systems. Ability to use in practice to support commissioning and start-up.
  • Expertise with AutoCAD
  • Experience designing and specifying systems to meet NFPA, UL, CSA and CE conformance. Strong knowledge of applicable codes and regulations.
