WordPress Migration CentOS to AWS

Description:

upgrading VMs from centos to alma, another variant is to migrate some of the centos servers to AWS

• Assist the Information Systems team in migrating the company intranet and subsites, built in WordPress away from on premises CentOS to our AWS environment.
• Write a WordPress plugin to integrate with a 3rd party API.
• Dockerize legacy python services and migrate services to new ALMA machines.

Required skills for WordPress Containers for AWS:

• Proficient in Linux and Docker
• Proficient with Word press plugins and themes
• Proficient in PHP
• Proficient with GIT & GITLAB
• Experience with web and proxy configuration, especially Nginx

• Familiarity with AWS services and deployments
• Familiar with Kubernetes

Required skills for WordPress Plugin:

• Proficient with Word press plugins and themes
• Proficient in PHP
• Proficient with GIT & GITLAB
• Experience coding against 3rd party API's
• Familiarity with WooCommerce helpful

Required skills for migrating existing Services to Docker:

• Python fluency (Python 2.6+, Python 3.3+).
• Proficient in Linux and Docker
• Proficient in SQL, experience with PostgreSQL or Oracle
• Proficient with GIT & GITLAB
