Position Overview

Reporting to the Asset Manager, The Fleet Specialist will be the primary contact for Pinnacle’s compliance, registration, and Audits. Will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of development, implementation, standardization, and management of the Transportation Compliance Program for the assigned location(s). Additionally, the Fleet Specialist will regularly monitor and assist with driver qualification, pre-employment, post-accident, random, and reasonable suspicion drug testing, Hours of Service records and driver training.

Location: Pinnacle Propane, LLC Irving, TX (Hybrid)

Essential Job Functions

  • Manages fleet’s asset compliance—new and existing. This includes but is not limited to monthly and annual registrations and renewals, vehicle tax compliance and reporting, DOT regulations, etc.
  • Identifies, communicates, and executes on cost savings and/or cost avoidance by performing market analysis to make any key changes needed within the organization with regards to asset remarketing
  • Coordinates with leasing companies to maintain and report on any leased assets with regards to their overall vehicle compliance
  • Coordinates with Pinnacle employees and state DMVs to provide all prerequisites required to renew vehicle status to compliance
  • Performs data integrity audits for asset compliance
  • Manages key partnerships with outside vendors to ensure that all task-related items are completed in a timely manner with regards to asset compliance
  • Performs audits to identify any assets not following proper processes and procedures; and amends processes and procedures as needed.
  • Performs and audits Fair Market Value assessments and recommendations for internal vehicle purchases.
  • Oversee all aspects of development, implementation, standardization, and management of the Transportation Compliance Program for the assigned location(s)
  • Regularly monitor and assist with driver qualification, pre-employment, post-accident, random, and reasonable suspicion drug testing, Hours of Service records and driver training
  • Evaluate and monitor all driver compliance and non-compliance issues, ensuring non-compliance issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Assist with incident investigations, root-cause analysis, follow-up, and closure of action items
  • Review Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) daily, identify and resolve DVIR issues
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of district and project management, Regional Transportation Compliance Managers, staff, and craft employees
  • Work with drivers and management to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations
  • Review, document and analyze all interactions with regulatory entities to include; crashes, roadside inspection violations and citations
  • Prepare, analyze, and disseminate detailed reports from the Company’s ELD and telematics system
  • Work within Company data systems to record and track equipment maintenance and utilization
  • Serve as the point of contact for all regulated vehicles and drivers for the assigned location(s)
  • Other duties may be assigned.

TRAVEL AND HOURS

  • This position is full-time, standard operating hours
  • Travel between 0 – 10%
