Lead Banquet Cook:

As the Lead Banquet Cook, your work begins the process of what finishes as culinary success. Assist our Banquet Chef to safely and efficiently set up workstations, prepare ingredients, food preparation, cooking, presentation and execution of food for member functions and guest banquet events. Your ability to thrive in a fast-paced and busy environment will help to contribute to the overall success of your team and successful execution.

Primary Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Banquet Chef in planning food production and executing menus as outlined on Banquet Event Order (BEO) for all member functions and banquet events.

  • Ensuring variety, quantity, quality, adherence to dietary restrictions and special requests.
  • Create and follow all prep lists to plan, prepare and serve items in accordance with standard recipes, portions & presentation standards

Assist our Banquet Chef in leading the banquet team with food production and service.

  • Set up workstations for safety and efficiency.
  • Prepare ingredients, food preparation, cooking, and assemble dishes.
  • Ensure consistency, presentation and timely delivery of food for banquet service staff.
  • For buffet stations or off-site catering events ~ provide support as needed, including transportation of equipment, set-up, on-site cooking, carving or other duties as required.

Coordinate with the banquet service team to ensure smooth and efficient operations during events, including communicating special requests or modifications from members or guests.

Assist with inventory control; including ordering, receiving and storing food to minimize waste and ensure freshness.

Comply with all food and sanitation standards; including proper handling and storage of perishable items.

Assist with department facilities; including work stations and equipment.

  • Routinely inspect all banquet kitchen areas and equipment to ensure sanitation, organization, safety, preventative maintenance, and other standards are met. Report any problems or needs immediately.
  • Ensure that all cleaning of banquet kitchen facilities and equipment are completed on a regular schedule.

Maintain a neat professional appearance and observe personal cleanliness rules at all times.

Adhere to State and Local health and safety standards.

Position & Schedule:

Part-Time and/or Full-Time Variable, Non-Exempt position. Availability to work days, evenings, weekends and Holidays.
