Job DescriptionJob Description

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Participates in hospital or departmental performance improvement activities.

Prepares patient for exams.

Processes image in accordance with industry standards andtechniques.

Follows prescribed techniques in administering CT procedure/exam (adjust equipment; determines proper KVP & mA, positions patient, adjust lead shield and selects proper scanning parameters).

Observes patient and machine during procedure and reports unusual occurrences and records patients condition.

Takes appropriate measures to ensure safety of patients.

Provides excellent customer service to our patients, visitors, staff and co-workers.

Performs Point of Care Testing for Urine HCG and Creatinine.Calculates GFR.

Follows proper procedure for infection control.

Assists with other duties as assigned by the AVP/Director and or Imaging Manager/Supervisor/Lead Tech.



Qualifications/License/Certifications:

Must have current license American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R)(CT).

-If associate does not hold advanced certification, associate shall obtain within 6 months of hire/promotion or completion of training program.

RECENT ACUTE CARE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED IN SPECIALTY.

Must have current Texas license Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT).

Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification


Education:

Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program or equivalent with appropriate state licensure and National Registry(s).


Compensation:

$28/hour - $42/hour Depends on experience.


Shifts Available:Nights, Mixed, Days, Flexible


Nights:

Friday/Saturday/Sunday: 1900 - 0700

Days:

Friday/Saturday/Sunday: 0700 - 1900

Mixed:

Friday/Saturday/Sunday:Choose your own
