Summary/Objective:

The Electronics Technician Maintenance applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains repairs, troubleshoots, modifies, and installs various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as electronic transmitting and receiving equipment (e.g., radar, radio, television, telecommunication, sonar, and navigational aids), personal and main frame computers and terminals, industrial, medical, measuring, and controlling equipment; and industrial robotic devices.
  • Must have technical knowledge of electronics principles
  • Ability to restore equipment operation
  • Evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production mode, and recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance
  • Familiar with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices

 

Other Requirements:

  • 5 Years Minimum Experience
  • Must have high school diploma or GED
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Detailed working experience and knowledge of electronics, microprocessors and interface systems, computer logic, communications, programmable logic controllers, instrumentation devices, and controllers.
  • Perform work in accordance with the National Electrical Codes.
  • Demonstrated ability with the English language in reading, writing and oral communication.
  • Shall have NFPA 70E Compliance and Arc Flash Safety training
