An experienced CONTROLLER having construction industry background is sought by our client in Woodstock, GA. This PERMANENT, full-time job has the option of a HYBRID work schedule. Your talent will spearhead accounting/finance operations in an impressive company that strives to “make lives better”. Earn annual salary in the range of $110k - $125k, plus BONUS, benefits, 401k, and other perks. This is a pivotal role, befitting a service-minded leader who is a hands-on accounting “do-er”.

Enjoy performing a variety of responsibilities, for example:

  • Orchestrate accounting/finance operations (such as AR, AP, GL, budgeting, modeling, cashflow, forecasting, controls and metrics).
  • WIP adjustments and over/under billing.
  • Accomplish the closing process (month, quarter, annual).
  • Produce accurate, timely financial reports.
  • Analyze data, identify trends, provide insights to safeguard business decisions and drive profitability.
  • Direct matters involving compliance, insurance, vendors, legal, audit, tax, etc.
  • Oversee and train staff, which includes Accounting and Human Resources
  • Develop accounting policies and procedures, in accordance with GAAP.
  • Report to the President. Participate in the Leadership Team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or relevant field. Master’s or CPA desirable.
  • 5+ years construction industry accounting (including WIP and job costing).
  • Significant management experience at the level of Controller or Finance Director.
  • Technology strengths, including Excel and QuickBooks Online.
  • Comfortable and capable of hands-on technical accounting; command of daily details.
  • GAAP knowledge.
  • Analytical and forward-thinking mindset.
  • Organized. Able to plan and anticipate.
  • Succeeds independently AND as a team. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Accurate. Solution-finder. Deadline-achiever.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
