Job Type:

  • Full-time: Mon.-Fri. 8a to 4p

Salary:

  • $15.37 per hour

ECF Direct Support Professional Job Summary:

The ECF Direct Support Professional performs a variety of tasks in order to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, better known as our persons served population. As an ECF Direct Support Professional, or DSP, you will aid our persons served by providing them with an opportunity to live the life in the community they deserve, encouragement and guidance throughout their day-to-day life. The ECF Direct Support Professional will also work with our ECF services that include: Community Integration Support Service, Independent Living Skills, Personal Assistance, Supportive Home Care, Community Living Supports, and Community Transportation.


ECF Direct Support Professional Job Responsibilities:

• Performs personal and health care related tasks with persons served such as basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding, ambulation, medication administration

• Assists persons served in making their own decisions in day to day life

• Handles and documents confidential information

• Participates in trainings required by DIDD, ECF, and other agency requirements

• Ensures persons served safety by maintaining a safe environment

• Fosters a positive relationship between DSP and persons served

• Accompanies persons served to scheduled appointments and events

• Works with Persons Served in the community

Requirements:

ECF Direct Support Professional Qualifications / Skills:

• Flexibility through adapting to an ever-changing work environment

• Communication (verbal and written)

• Documentation

• Leadership capabilities

• Capable of handling certain physical aspects such as bending, lifting and standing

• Ability to work with Persons Served in a 1:1, 1:2 or 1:3 ratio and in a residential home


Employment Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid TN Driving Licenses
  • US Work Authorization
  • Must be at least 19 years of age
  • No more than 3 moving violations on your MVR within the past 3 years
  • At least 3 years clean driving experience
  • Written and Verbal Bilingual Fluency is a plus
  • 5 years of verifiable work history
  • DSP or caregiving experience is preferred
