Job Title: Leveraged Finance Analyst

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Leveraged Finance Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. The Leveraged Finance Analyst will be responsible for evaluating and executing leveraged buyouts (LBOs), recapitalizations, and other complex financing transactions. This role requires strong financial modeling skills, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to structure and execute financing solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct financial analysis and modeling to assess the feasibility and structure of leveraged finance transactions, including LBOs, refinancings, and debt issuances.
  • Prepare detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and investment memoranda for senior management and potential investors.
  • Perform due diligence, including reviewing financial statements, assessing business plans, and identifying key risks and opportunities.
  • Assist in negotiating terms and conditions of financing agreements, including senior debt, mezzanine financing, and equity investments.
  • Collaborate with investment bankers, legal advisors, and other external parties to execute transactions efficiently and within established timelines.
  • Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify potential opportunities and risks impacting leveraged finance transactions.
  • Support ongoing portfolio management activities, including monitoring financial performance, covenant compliance, and reporting requirements.

Skills Required:

  • Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in Excel; experience with complex modeling techniques such as LBO modeling.
  • Solid understanding of corporate finance principles, including capital structure, debt financing, and financial statement analysis.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and perform in-depth financial analysis.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Detail-oriented approach with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external advisors.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is required. A Master's degree (MBA) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in leveraged finance, investment banking, private equity, or a related field involving complex financial transactions.
