The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of crane and lifting operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry regulations. The Lift Director will play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and executing lifting activities for the designated Project. 

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Safety Oversight:
    • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations during all lifting operations.
    • Conduct safety briefings and meetings with the lifting team to address potential hazards and establish safety procedures.
  2. Project Planning:
    • Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to plan and schedule lifting activities.
    • Review project plans and blueprints to assess lifting requirements and constraints.
  3. Equipment Inspection:
    • Conduct thorough inspections of lifting equipment, including cranes, hoists, and rigging gear, to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
    • Document and report any equipment issues, recommending necessary repairs or replacements.
  4. NCCCO Certification:
    • Maintain current NCCCO certification and ensure that all lifting personnel have appropriate certifications.
    • Stay updated on industry standards and best practices related to crane and lifting operations.
  5. Communication:
    • Effectively communicate with crane operators, riggers, and other team members to ensure a clear understanding of lift plans and safety procedures.
    • Provide clear and concise instructions during lifting operations.

Qualifications:

  • NCCCO certification for Lift Director.
  • Proven experience as a Lift Director in construction or related industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of L&I regulations and industry standards for crane and lifting operations.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Additional certifications or training in construction management, safety, or related fields are a plus.
