Position Summary:


The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in managing and overseeing CCM’s accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting, extensive experience with sales and use tax, and a thorough understanding of ASC 842. This position requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.


Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Manage and prepare sales and use tax returns for multiple jurisdictions
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and payments.
  • Prepare and maintain lease accounting schedules and disclosures.
  • Ongoing compliance of ASC 842 lease accounting standards.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate lease data collection and reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
  • Support annual audit processes and liaise with external auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for ad hoc projects as required


Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with a strong preference for public accounting experience.
  • Proven experience with sales and use tax compliance and reporting.
  • In-depth knowledge of ASC 842 lease accounting standards.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills (NetSuite preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
