Northwood Club is a premier country club established in 1946 and located in Dallas, Texas, best known for hosting the 1952 U.S. Open. The Club was listed as Overall Best Private Club in Avid Golfer Magazine's 2022 - 2024 Private Clubs. The club also has a Distinguished Clubs of the World Emerald Designation for outstanding member service. Our staff consists of a wide range of professionals who are well recognized in areas of Tennis, Golf and Culinary.
Basic Abilities:
- Prioritize and Organize
- Understand member/client/guest service needs.
- Work cohesively with other departments as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing; accuracy in grammar and spelling.
Essential Duties:
- Is visible and available during established office hours for the membership.
- Serves as an Ambassador for the Club by welcoming members and prospective members.
- Manages new member onboarding and tours.
- Facilitates and provides thorough guidance to prospective members through the membership application process and communicates openly with Membership Committee on these opportunities.
- Executes membership changes and processing of transfers, deaths, resignations, and new members; coordination such changes including intake of initiation fees.
- Fields calls and facilitates member requests regarding their membership classification and status.
- Responsible for managing the waitlist for the Club.
- Participates in the monthly Membership Committee meeting. Communicates, assist, and works with the Membership Committee Chairman as needed.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Commitment and support the Executive & Leadership Teams and their programs.
- Perform any other duties or requests assigned by the General Manager.
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
- Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality management or marketing, five years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Private Club Experience Preferred.
- Ability and knowledge of how Club Bylaws and membership committees work.
- Ability to read and speak English is required to perform duties.
- Knowledge of software applications for Microsoft 360.
- Knowledge and/or ability to learn software application for Northstar.
- Exceptional organizational skills; maintain accuracy and neatness; ability to multitask.
- Work independently, while also possessing the ability to be an important part of a dynamic team.
- Excellent critical thinker.
