Overview

We are looking for a skilled and innovative IoT Developer to join our dynamic IT team. The IoT Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing IoT solutions that integrate with our existing systems and platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IoT technologies, hardware/software integration, and cloud computing, with the ability to create scalable and secure IoT applications that leverage sensor data and connectivity protocols. This role requires a passion for innovation, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge IoT solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. IoT Solution Development:

    • Design, develop, and deploy IoT applications and solutions that leverage sensors, actuators, and connectivity modules (e.g., RFID, Bluetooth, Zigbee).
    • Integrate IoT devices with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS IoT, Azure IoT) and backend systems to enable data collection, storage, and analysis.
    • Implement edge computing solutions and data processing pipelines to optimize IoT data transmission and reduce latency.

  2. Hardware/Software Integration:

    • Select and configure IoT hardware components, including sensors, gateways, and communication modules, based on project requirements.
    • Develop firmware and embedded software for IoT devices, ensuring compatibility, reliability, and interoperability with existing systems.
    • Conduct testing and validation of IoT hardware and software components to ensure functionality, performance, and compliance with specifications.

  3. Data Management and Analytics:

    • Design and implement data models, databases, and storage solutions for IoT data collected from sensors and devices.
    • Develop real-time analytics and visualization dashboards to monitor IoT device performance, detect anomalies, and derive actionable insights.
    • Implement security protocols and encryption mechanisms to protect IoT data and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.

  4. IoT Architecture and Scalability:

    • Architect scalable and resilient IoT solutions that support large-scale deployment and data processing requirements.
    • Optimize IoT architectures for resource efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and scalability across distributed networks and devices.
    • Evaluate emerging IoT technologies, standards, and protocols to recommend and implement innovative solutions.

  5. Documentation and Deployment:

    • Create technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, deployment guides, and API documentation for IoT solutions.
    • Manage deployment and configuration of IoT devices, gateways, and software updates across different environments.
    • Provide training and support to internal teams and stakeholders on IoT solution usage, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
