WHO YOU ARE
As a DevOps Engineer II, you are the backbone of our cloud infrastructure. Your days are spent designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and resilient systems within the Azure cloud. Automation is your middle name You develop and maintain scripts that streamline our processes and keep everything running smoothly. You're an expert at managing and optimizing Azure services, and troubleshooting complex issues is your superpower. You have a strong sense of urgency, enabling you to prioritize tasks effectively and respond to issues promptly to ensure system reliability and uptime. This includes being proactive in identifying potential problems before they impact the business and implementing solutions in a timely manner.

You show initiative by working on projects with minimal supervision, identifying areas for improvement, and taking the necessary steps to implement changes. Your quick deductive reasoning skills allow you to analyze complex situations, identify root causes, and devise effective solutions swiftly. You are self-driven, motivated, and able to set your own goals, working diligently to achieve them and contributing significantly to the team's success. HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE
  • Utilize your expertise in Azure SQL, App Services, Service Bus, Azure Firewall, and Web Application Firewall (WAF) to design, implement, and maintain scalable and resilient infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell to streamline processes and enhance system reliability.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure, network, and application performance issues using monitoring and performance tuning tools.
  • Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of services.
  • Continuously seek and implement improvements in infrastructure and processes to enhance efficiency and reliability, driven by a strong understanding of data integration, analytics, data stores, security, and availability of data, with a cloud-first mindset.
  • Apply security best practices and compliance standards to ensure the safety and integrity of the infrastructure.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity in project goals and progress.
  • Stay updated with new technologies and methodologies, adapting to changes and continuously improving your skill set.

MUST HAVES
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, with prior experience working within Azure cloud environments.
  • Applicable Azure Certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-204, AZ-305, and/or AZ-400.
  • In-depth knowledge of Azure cloud services, including Azure SQL, App Services, Service Bus, Azure Firewall, and Web Application Firewall (WAF).
  • Strong skills in utilizing Azure DevOps for seamless integration and deployment.
  • Proficiency in MS SQL Server, PowerShell, .NET, and Windows Server environments.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools such as Terraform and Bicep.
  • Expertise in developing automation scripts using PowerShell.
  • Understanding of security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and develop effective solutions with quick deductive reasoning.
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals, driven by a strong sense of urgency and self-driven nature.
  • Strong time management skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter with the initiative to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous improvement in infrastructure and processes.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and handle unexpected challenges.
  • Creativity in problem-solving and developing new solutions to improve existing processes.
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
