Haptix Studio is currently seeking a Project Manager/Producer to assist our motion capture studio in completing client projects, managing internal deadlines, and keeping productions on track and on budget. They will be responsible for streamlining project development from start to finish while collaborating with partners in different departments. We are looking for someone with a background in game development, motion capture, or software development.


The primary responsibilities of the Project Manager/Producer include:

  • Serve as the central point of contact for project development for internal and external partners,
  • Manage projects from start to finish; from pre-production through production, launch, and live operations to ensure projects meet goals and objectives,
  • Be able to effectively collaborate with internal and external partners, including Motion Capture Technicians, Animators, Programmers, Game Designers, Software Engineers, 3D Artists, Business Analysts and Education Services,
  • Draw up plans for projects with workflow for start-to-finish management of projects,
  • Work closely with the Supervisor to develop plans and procedures for effective workflows,
  • Oversee day to day task tracking, keeping staff on-track and in-budget,
  • Help manage digital asset storage and organization,
  • Manage Notion.so project information and knowledge sharing,
  • Assign and manage project resources effectively to meet targets and deadlines,
  • Drive organization and delivery of project elements from each department,
  • Maintain a working knowledge of current motion capture technologies, products and processes,
  • Maintain an understanding of current creative styles and trends in animation and film production,
  • Participate in other projects and team meetings as needed.


We are looking for someone who has:

  • 4+ years experience in formal management in software,
  • 2+ years experience in managing game development (preferred),
  • Experience using Agile and Scrum,
  • Strong organizational skills with knowledge of workflow for game development,
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interaction skills to be able to work well with multiple departments,
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team,
  • Strong leadership and management skills,
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to drive deadlines and delegate where needed, and
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and able to facilitate small to medium-group meetings.


Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience using organizational software like Notion, JIRA, Monday, or similar,
  • Knowledge of all aspects of game production,
  • Understanding of game development processes and animation requirements,
  • Bachelor's degree in business, game design, computer science, or digital media,
  • Experience using Clickup and/or Notion


While we have a strong preference for candidates in Michigan or willing to move, we are open to interviewing remote candidates for this role. Our offices and studio are located in Lansing, Michigan.
