Connsci is seeking a motivated Jr. Privacy Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in advancing our federal client's mission and supporting efforts to enhance the overall cybersecurity program policy. This position involves preparing and presenting policy/security control materials and regulatory crosswalks to meet client policy deliverable needs. The Jr. Privacy Analyst will assist in the development of agency policy and security control development activities on behalf of a federal government agency, supporting and developing cybersecurity policy, memoranda, standards, and guidance.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present policy/security control materials and regulatory crosswalks to meet client policy deliverable needs.
  • Assist in the development of agency policy and security control development activities on behalf of a federal government agency.
  • Support the development and maintenance of cybersecurity policy, memoranda, standards, and guidance for a federal client.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of federal policy pertaining to cybersecurity program governance, IT security and privacy operations, continuous monitoring, and risk management.
  • Work with the Senior Official for Privacy on issues, policy interpretations, and support interactions with HHS.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of work experience in Privacy and Cybersecurity, with a focus on NIST SP 800-53, Risk Management Frameworks, Privacy Policy Frameworks, and Cybersecurity Frameworks.
  • Proven experience interfacing with government clients and managing their expectations.
  • Experience working within CMS or other HHS agencies is required.
  • Experience with Jira and other collaboration tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.

Location: This position can be performed on a remote basis but there may be occasional on site team meetings, so preference will be given to candidates located in the DC Metro region.
