Aretum is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Architect to join our team. As an Architect at Aretum, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of architectural solutions for our clients. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, develop design specifications, and create architectural designs that meet the unique needs of our clients.

Your role will involve conducting feasibility studies, evaluating technical options, and providing guidance on the selection of technologies and platforms. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the implemented solutions adhere to industry best practices, standards, and security requirements.

We are looking for an Architect who can demonstrate a deep understanding of architectural principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong communication abilities. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working on challenging projects, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Design and oversee the implementation of architectural solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements
  • Develop design specifications and architectural designs
  • Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate technical options
  • Provide guidance on the selection of technologies and platforms
  • Ensure that implemented solutions adhere to best practices, standards, and security requirements
  • Lead and mentor team members on architectural principles and best practices
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience as an Architect or similar role
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture
  • Strong knowledge of architectural principles, design patterns, and best practices
  • Proficiency in CAD, Revit, Adobe InDesign and other software packages typically associated with architectural design
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of code requirements and ability to efficiently interface with agencies having jurisdiction
  • Knowledge of facility planning to include urban planning requirements, facility master planning, architectural programming, project feasibility analysis and methods of procurement and project delivery
  • Knowledge of building design including civil design, site and landscape design, architectural design, interior design, signage, structural design, integration of mechanical and plumbing systems, integration of electrical systems, security design, integration of data, communications systems, sustainable design practices, accessibility design, historic preservation, general life safety and fire prevention design and other relevant systems and subjects of design impacting the facility
  • Knowledge of project management principles such as scheduling, budget and monitoring
  • Ability to travel periodically within the U.S. and its territories.
  • Ability to pass a federal background investigation (Public Trust).
