Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Inspection & Diagnosis: Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics on various types of heavy equipment, including forklifts, skid steers, loaders, and cranes, to identify mechanical issues.

Repairs & Maintenance: Perform repairs and routine maintenance on equipment, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.

Preventive Maintenance: Implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery.

Parts & Tools Management: Order and maintain necessary parts, tools, and supplies to ensure timely repairs and maintenance.

Documentation: Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance work, and parts used. Complete service reports and ensure accurate documentation.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and protocols while working on equipment. Follow company policies to ensure a safe working environment.

Collaboration: Work closely with other mechanics, operators, and supervisors to resolve equipment issues and support overall team objectives.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational training program in diesel mechanics or a related field is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of [3] years of experience working as a heavy equipment mechanic or in a similar role.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Experience with various types of heavy equipment.

Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE, OEM-specific certifications) are a plus.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and handle physically demanding tasks.
