Machinist I-II

KYOCERA SENCO Industrial Tools, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of industrial tools and fastening solutions. We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Pay minimum: $23/hr (pay is based on qualifications)

Under the direction of the department supervisor, produce parts, tooling, and equipment. Work from sketches, prints, own concepts, or verbal instructions to make and/or assemble fastener tooling, parts, and equipment. Work will consist of machining operations on a wide range of machine tools requiring a knowledge of manufacturing processes. Effective communication of requirements as both a supplier and a customer are essential. Perform own inspection. Perform other related activities as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work from sketches, prints, own concepts, or verbal instructions to make and/or assemble fastener tooling, parts, and equipment.

• produce parts, tooling, and equipment. • Work will consist of machining operations on a wide range of machine tools requiring a knowledge of manufacturing processes.

• Document activities in the form of reports, sketches, etc.

• Devise and make holding fixtures.

• Set up and operate a wide variety of standard machine tools to work to very close tolerances.

Qualifications:

• A high school or vocational school graduate • three years’ experience in a machining discipline. Requirements:

• Must possess a knowledge of cutter geometry, feeds, speeds, heat treat characteristics, and metals.

• Must be able to apply a broad knowledge of machining including machining characteristics of various materials, finishing techniques, and assembly.

• Requires constant physical effort. Required to work standing and handling light and average weight parts.

• Requires a high degree of mental concentration, to plan and layout sequencing of machining and assembly of fastener tooling and components.
