Compensation: $27 - $31/ per hour (clinic-based) and $38 - $44 per visit (homebased)

About the Job

This Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) position is for a client of Nexus HR, located in Cary, NC. The role involves working in various settings, including a clinic, in-home daycare, and ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) clinics. You may also have the opportunity to work in a combination of both clinic and home settings as a hybrid model. In this role, you will assist a licensed Occupational Therapist in implementing treatment plans, providing hands-on patient care, and documenting progress. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as you will work closely with the occupational therapist, patients, and their families to support their recovery and enhance their daily living skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to support patient progress.

  • Monitor and evaluate therapy outcomes, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal results.

  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in treatment practices to provide the highest quality of care.

  • Collaborate with Speech and Physical Therapists to deliver coordinated and integrated care to patients.

Qualifications:

  • Certified by the National Board for Certification.

  • Experience working with both Adults and Pediatrics

  • Valid state license in the Occupational therapy discipline.

  • Ability to exercise professional judgment and initiative when analyzing problems and recommending solutions
