Role: GCP Data Engineer with DevOps

Overview: As a Senior GCP Data Engineer with DevOps, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to work on complex technical requirements. You will be responsible for managing multiple engagements, prioritizing, and resolving complex problems and escalating as necessary, in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable and reliable data processing systems using Google Cloud technologies.
  • Build data pipelines and ETL processes using Google Cloud Dataflow, Apache Beam, and Google Cloud Dataprep.
  • Manage and optimize BigQuery for data analysis and SQL queries.
  • Utilize Google Cloud Pub/Sub for event-driven and real-time data streaming applications.
  • Implement data storage solutions using Google Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and Firestore.
  • Develop and maintain data models and databases within GCP.
  • Integrate machine learning models with GCP's AI Platform and BigQuery ML.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data processing systems for performance and cost.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years recent experience working as a Data Engineer on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as familiarity with open-source technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
  • Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala for data engineering tasks.
  • Should have good experience with Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Python
