Job DescriptionJob Description PUNCH PRESS OPERATOR
(Statesville, NC) A local full-service job shop has an opening for a Punch Press Operator.
Pay: $18-$20/hr DOE. Punch Press Operator Hours:6:00 am - 2:30 pmMonday - Friday with overtime as needed Punch Press Operator Responsibilities:
  • Setup punch press and deep draw machines with minimal supervision.
  • Report damage to tooling to Operations Manager Punch Press Lead.
  • Operate punch press and deep draw machines.
  • Work with Material Handler to stage incoming parts and materials efficiently; Navigate controller to make adjustments.
  • Work with Quality Inspectors to conduct First Part Inspections.
  • Conduct In-Process Inspections as required by the Quality Department.
  • Perform daily checklist for punch press and deep draw machine maintenance and safety checks.
  • Maintain organized and clean workspace including desk area, toolboxes, punch presses and deep draw machines, outgoing and incoming material staging areas, and tooling area.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned by the Operations Manager or Punch Press Lead.
Punch Press Operator Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year Setting up and running a Punch Press.
  • Proven manufacturing experience; Knowledge of manufacturing systems and procedures.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Punctuality and reliability.
  • Ability to work well with others from a variety of occupational backgrounds.
