Radiologic Technologist- Clinical Coordinator


Definition of Position:


Responsible for clinical and didactic instruction and evaluation of students enrolled in the Radiologic Technology School in accordance with standards established by the State of California and other licensing or certification agencies.


Qualifications:


  • Two years’ experience as a Certified Radiologic Technologist under the direction of a qualified radiologist.
  • One year's experience as an instructor in a radiographer
  • Completion of education and demonstrated competency in the areas of curriculum design, instructional methods and evaluation.
  • Bachelors of Arts or Bachelors of Science
  • Current Licensure or certification as a radiographer with the State of California and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

 

Performance Requirements/Knowledge:


  • Effectively performs as a member of the School
  • Actively supervises student clinical
  • Serves responsively as a member of School Admissions and Advisory
  • Serves as an Assistant to the Educational Coordinator (Program Director).
  • Participates effectively in staff development
  • Complies with the institution's Mission

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Knowledge of Curriculum Requirements – Reviews current school current cubiculum
  • Development of Course Materials – Course syllabi and lesson plans which satisfy curriculum objectives
  • Student Didactic Evaluation – develops and uses effective methods in the evaluation of students in the classroom.
  • Clinical Supervision - supervises clinical education
  • Reinforcement of Ethical Behavior – Provides instruction in the area of ethical behavior
  • Administrative Duties – Performs the administrative duties of the program director in their absence.
  • Identification of Physical and Instructional Needs – Advised the program director with regard to the acquisition of resources for the school.
  • Equipment Competency – Completes all required competencies on equipment required for the position
  • Continuing Education – completes all required continuing education for ARRT registration and instructional areas.
  • Provision of Quality Care – Provides students with instruction, which enables them to provide quality, care
  • Site Acquisitions - the acquisition or establishment of affiliation agreement with hospital site(s)
  • Professionalism – Promotes professionalism

 

Part time position

Hourly Range: $28.00 - $32.00 an hour
