Children have a natural curiosity that lends itself to science, technology, math, and engineering. At Engineering For Kids, we inspire kids ages 4 to 14 to build on their innate desire for answers by exploring engineering concepts in a fun, hands-on way. We offer afterschool programs, evening classes, camps, birthday parties, and special events designed to present kids with challenging yet accessible engineering activities from which they can learn and grow.

Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Math Tutor to work with students in grades K-8. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the K-8 math curriculum and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in mathematics for students in grades K-8.
  • Develop personalized lesson plans and teaching strategies to address each student's learning style and needs.
  • Help students understand math concepts, complete homework, and prepare for tests.
  • Track and report on students' progress, providing feedback to students and parents.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
Qualifications:


  • Strong proficiency in K-8 mathematics.
  • Previous experience tutoring or teaching math to K-8 students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience and the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms.
  • Teaching certification or credential.
