  • Verify the eligibility/benefits, pre-authorization requirements, available payment options, financial counseling, and other identified clearance-related duties.
  • Collaborate with Patient Access, payors, third-party vendors, patients, and other identified representatives internal or external to the institution to financially clear patients for care.
  • Escalate financial clearance issues to the direct supervisor or coordinator to resolve.
Financial Clearance Associate’s Qualifications
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required; an associate degree in business, healthcare, or a related field is required.
  • Three (3) years of experience in healthcare, insurance, or a related field is required; Five (5) years of business experience in healthcare, insurance, or a multi-specialty physician practice is highly preferred.
  • Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) certifications are highly preferred but not required.

Salary: $18 - $21 an hour
