QUALIFICATIONS:

  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must meet all health, physical and background-check requirements.
  • Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Must have successfully completed a supervised clinical internship.
  • Must have passed a national OT certification board exam NBCOT.
  • Must have appropriate Tennessee licensure and /or certification in
    Occupational Therapy.
  • Must have a broad knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in the areas
    relevant to providing occupational therapy to eligible students in the public
    school setting.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills-ability to work cooperatively and
    effectively with a wide range of people (i.e., students, school administrators,
    teachers, support staff and parents.)
  • Must have strong written and verbal skills.
  • Must be able to carry out the responsibilities of the position with limited
    direct supervision.
  • Must be able to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks
    efficiently and effectively. Areas of proficiency, sensory processing, sensory
    integration, visual motor, visual perception as they relate to school service
    needs.
