Product Development Engineer at Stanadyne

Position Purpose:

Provides technical and analytical support to Product Development Engineering. Refers problems that cannot be resolved to the next level. Serves as a central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution. Involvement may last throughout all stages of a product’s lifecycle including modification, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line. First pass yield improvements on HEUI

Responsibilities of the Position:

  • Conduct reengineering to produce models and drawings for existing products
  • Develop and coordinate the validation testing for new product launches
  • Provide support for newly launched product to improve First pass yield and manufacturing efficiency
  • Provide engineering support and drive cost reduction of existing products
  • Investigate the scope and risks associated with potential new product to assist in development of a business case
  • Support for reman Turbo design and Launch
  • Cost reduction initiatives on current products
  • New business initiatives investigations

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS Engineering Degree, BSME preferred
  • 1 years’ experience on component level design and launch to production
  • Experience with CAD modeling and drawing creation
  • Experience with developing validation requirements for products

Knowledge and Capabilities:

  • Knowledge of DVP&R, and DFMEA tools
  • Knowledge of APQP/Launch processes
  • 3D Cad modeling and Drawing, experience with Pro Engineer a plus
