- Position: Tool Maker
- Location: Devens, MA
- Department: Tool Room
- Tasks: Building new molds from blueprints and CAD data
- Job Duties: Developing mold specifications, constructing molds, purchasing materials, verifying conformance and dimensions of machined parts, leading project teams, drawing tools using SolidWorks, devising mechanisms, analyzing mold modifications, performing repairs, reporting damaged equipment, maintaining work areas, and other assigned duties
- Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering and 3 years of experience or a two-year post-high school diploma/certificate in a related field and 7 years of experience, proficiency in PC skills in a Windows environment, SolidWorks experience, understanding of electrical and pneumatic schematics, knowledge of PLC programs, problem-solving skills, and effective communication skills
- Desirable Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, two-year technical school, minimum of 10 years of experience, working knowledge of tool room equipment, ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- ADA Requirements: Ability to bend, squat, climb, grasp, reach, lift or move frequently for extended periods, ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs., ability to stand or move about continuously, exposure to machine shop physical hazards including chemicals, occasional operation of a computer.
