Avionics Technician

You must be able to complete these tasks in a timely, safe, and professional manner, with an emphasis on quality, efficiency, and craftsmanship.
You will also be responsible for making sound technical decisions and conducting function tests on avionics systems across a variety of aircraft makes and models.
To ensure that all work is properly documented and in compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and quality control manuals, you will need to prepare various documents such as turnovers and personal training logs. . As a senior technician, you will be expected to share your knowledge and expertise with less experienced technicians through on-the-job training and mentorship.
Additionally, you will need to be proficient in locating and using appropriate technical data to accomplish any and all tasks. You will be required to comply with all Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations, including those set forth by federal, state, and local authorities.
In the absence of the Crew Chief, you will be expected to take ownership of the work scope and established milestones relative to the successful and timely completion of projects.
You may also be asked to lead minor aircraft projects from time to time, as directed by the Crew Chief.
Overall, your role as an avionics technician will involve performing related duties as assigned by management, in addition to the responsibilities outlined above.
Qualifications
- Experience with installing Garmin systems
- Experience working with private and corporate jets under Part 91/135/145 regulations
- Must be located at the company site or willing to relocate
- Must have the minimum required tooling to perform assigned duties -
Must be willing to work in various shifts as assigned by management
- Must be certified to operate manlift.
Shift
Monday - Friday Day Shift 7-4 / Possible 2nd shift
Education/Licensure
Preferred qualifications for this job include possessing an Airframe & Powerplant Certificate and/or an FCC License.
Candidates should also be eligible for designation as a Production Inspector and able to obtain and maintain an AOA badge or meet airport requirements.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and candidates must have a comprehensive understanding of FARs 43, 91, 135, and 145.
Additionally, applicants must have at least five years of experience in avionics installation.
