ABOUT CAMP INSPIRE:

  • At Camp Inspire at Gwyneddwe believe that girls should rule the world Or, at the very least, be equipped with the education, skills and self-esteem that leads them to believe that they can. Research has shown that by the age of 6, young girls do not believe that they are as smart as boys. As adults we often unintentionally compound that belief by steering girls away from careers that lead to the boardroom (i.e., technology, business, science) towards careers that are more ‘traditionally female’. We invite you to join us so that we can disrupt this pattern, together.
  • We are seeking a dynamic Camp Director to confidently lead our small, yet mighty camp and inspire our student campers and student interns to soaring new heights.
  • Camp Inspire was specifically created through a collaboration between our Enrollment Department and our Department of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice. The program is designed to serve as a community partnership to extend STEAM access to middle school aged girls and to serve as a method to expand our recruitment search and practices beyond our typical footprint, so that we can apply those learnings and benefits to our standard practices. We also aim to ensure that Camp Inspire participants reflect the racial, socioeconomic, religious and is reflection of the demographics of the Greater Philadelphia area.
