Job Summary:
Walker Motor Cars, a premier automotive dealership in Metairie, Louisiana, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual for the position of Account Receivables Clerk in the Accounting department. This is a full-time, hourly role in the thriving auto industry. The Account Receivables Clerk will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate payment processing for the dealership, while maintaining positive relationships with customers and vendors. This is an individual contributor role with opportunities for growth within the company.

Compensation & Benefits:
The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly wage, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, life, STD, LTD, accident, and hospital insurance, paid time off, and retirement plans.

Responsibilities:
- Reconcile and prepare daily deposits for three dealerships
- Prepare Cash Clearing Report daily for Service and Parts Managers daily
- Process payment to JMA monthly
- Process product cancellations
- Submit batches to Interstate Billing for payment weekly and process payment when received
- Process and post payments from warranty companies, customers, and vendors accurately and in a timely manner
- Review and reconcile account balances to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies
- Research any credit card chargebacks and submit necessary paperwork timely
- Communicate with customers regarding payment status and resolve any outstanding payment issues
- Handle all incoming and outgoing correspondence related to accounts receivables
- Generate and distribute monthly aging reports to management and follow up on any past due accounts
- Maintain accurate and organized account records and documentation
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure all revenue and expenses are accurately recorded in the general ledger
- Stock in incoming new cars 
- Assist with month-end closing and year-end audits as needed
- Continuously strive to improve processes and identify areas for efficiency and cost savings
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in an accounts receivables or accounting role, preferably in the automotive industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel
- Excellent organization and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot numerical errors
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Prior experience with CDK is preferred, but not required
